| Anima is an unusual computer graphic video
project because its plot happens in a real environment. It tells a story
of two quite different characters. A male clay figure wakes up in a sterile
white room containing simple geometric forms as furniture. At the same time
a 3 D animated female figure who looks like a robot explores a second room.
This room contains heavy chains, pipes and old steel plates. The story unfolds: The characters discover that one wall in their rooms comprises of a special soft textile. The clay male figure pushes his head through the wall. The 3D animated woman cuts the wall with her knife-blade fingers. When the two characters meet, they watch each other sceptically – an encounter which will take a tragic turn. Anima features the excellent combination of stop-motion and 3 D animations. The uniqueness of this computer graphics is expressed n the interaction of a real and a virtual character in a real environment.
