Some Opera directors responded by using the images, metaphors and editing techniques of cinema and pop-videos to attract audiences again. "Someday On The Misty Island" interprets classical Operas with contemporary visions, diverging from traditionally accepted Opera principles. The story offers a series of larger than life characters: an eccentric female reporter, grand-daughter of famous Charles Foster "Citizen" Kane and six extraordinary women with names such as Charlotte, Eboli, Delilah or Carmen.
