It transfers computer-aided and multimedia based learning to a mobile environment, using a server on the Internet. The technical solutions exploit the pocket-PC power of Smartphones, the new and coming generation of mobile phones. The "MLE" communicates with the learning platform through HTTP and XML, making it possible to use existing learning management systems as a mobile learning platform.
