The human body can be the source of music creation. By rotating and swirling one's hands, rainbows of colour and expansive soundscapes are created. "The Interactive Projection System" uses a Web-camera and basic output devices to translate the movements of one's body into sounds and animated images which can be projected onto walls. The gesture-based interface allows users to manipulate virtual environments in a natural and intuitive way, just through simple movements of arms and legs.

The system appeals to human emotions in various situations and interacts with the user's environment. It offers a multitude of recreational, marketing and game possibilities. Interactive nature scenes could provide a relaxing atmosphere in waiting areas; it can be used as an interactive movie poster to attract attention; or it can be deployed in a motion-stimulating disco where light and sound can be manipulated for the pleasure of dancers!

"The Interactive Projection System" enables people to enjoy a physical experience of creating musical sounds, animated patterns and images.
